Cookies

This is a short page, and that is on purpose. We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party cookies. There are exactly two cookies on this site, and both are our own.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores for a website and sends back on your next visit. Local storage, the thing called localStorage, works in much the same way, but it stays in the browser and is not sent automatically with every request. Both are things you can delete yourself.
What we use

That is the whole list. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no cross-site tracking and nothing sold on.
Why declining does not switch the statistics off
Our analytics uses no cookies and collects nothing that points back at you. We count the path, the referring host, any UTM tags, a coarse country and a device type, tied to a random id that only exists in your own browser. That is not personal data, so there is nothing to consent to. If you choose decline, we hide the notice and remember the choice. We set no extra cookies, and we still build no profile of you.

How to clear them
You can delete both at any time without asking us. In your browser it sits under privacy or site data settings, usually called something like Clear browsing data or Site settings. Pick press-on-negler.com if you only want to tidy up here.
- Delete the cookies and the cookie notice comes back, and the language preference resets.
- Delete local storage and you get a new random id next time, so we count you as a new visitor.
- Use private browsing and nothing is left behind when you close the window.
The site works perfectly well without either of them. You would just have to pick your language again on every visit.
