These terms apply when you use press-on-negler.com. They are written to be understood. If you use the site, we assume you are happy with them.

What this site is

press-on-negler.com is an editorial guide to press-on nails. We test things ourselves, write about what we find, and try to be honest when something does not work. Everything you read here is general guidance.

It is not medical advice, not a clinical assessment and not professional nail treatment. We do not know your nails, your skin or your allergies, and an article can never replace a professional looking at your actual hand.

Health and disclaimers

Nail glue, press-on nails and the products you use alongside them can cause reactions. Some people get redness, itching, stinging or irritated skin around the nail, and some are allergic to ingredients in adhesives. That is true of products that are perfectly safe for almost everyone else.

• If it hurts, stings or feels wrong, take the set off and leave the nail alone.
• If you have pain that does not settle, swelling, discharge, discolouration or a nail lifting from the nail bed, contact a doctor or a pharmacist. That is not something to fix with a trick from a blog, and we do not diagnose.
• If you are unsure whether a product suits you, test on a small area first and read the ingredient list.
• Always follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the product you are actually using.

Whether you follow our advice is up to you, and you do so at your own risk. We write with nail health first throughout, but we cannot guarantee the result in your case.

Who runs the site

press-on-negler.com is run by X Beauty AB, which also runs the shop xnails.no. So when we link to xnails.no, we are linking to our own shop, and we earn money if you buy something there. We say that out loud here, in the footer and on the about page, because you should know it while you read a recommendation.

It does not change how we write. We do not recommend anything we would not use ourselves, and we say so when something we sell is not the right fit for what you are after.

Intellectual property

Text, images, illustrations, tables and other content on the site belong to X Beauty AB or our licensors, and are protected by copyright.

• You may quote short extracts if you credit us and link to the page you are quoting.
• You may link freely to any page here.
• You may not copy whole articles, republish our content, translate it or use it in commercial products without a written agreement.
• Systematic harvesting, scraping or copying of the content requires an agreement with us.

If you want to use something, ask at hei@press-on-negler.com. We usually say yes to sensible requests.

Acceptable use

You may use the site to read, learn and share. You may not

• attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the operation of the site
• fetch content automatically at a scale that affects availability for other readers
• post content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, misleading or pure advertising
• impersonate someone else, or claim to represent us

If you write a comment or send us feedback, we may display, edit or remove it. We remove content that breaks the points above, and that gives you no claim against us.

No warranty

The content is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and current, and we correct mistakes when we spot them, but we do not warrant that everything is correct, complete or suitable for your situation at all times. Products, prices and manufacturers instructions change faster than an article does.

We also do not warrant that the site is always available or free of errors. We may change, move or remove content without notice.

Links to other sites

We sometimes link to other websites, for example manufacturers and public authorities. We do not control what is published there and we are not responsible for it. Those links open in a new tab.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, X Beauty AB is not liable for indirect loss, consequential damage or lost profit arising from your use of the site or from following information found here.

This limitation does not apply to intent or gross negligence on our part, and it does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer law. If you buy a product in our shop, the purchase is governed by the terms of sale in the shop, not by these terms.

Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, and what we store in your browser is listed in the overview of cookies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always here, with the date at the top of the page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

Governing law and disputes

Use of this site is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably belong before the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the venue. If you are a consumer, you do not lose the rights you have under mandatory rules in your country of residence.
